For most of my life I have been involved in photography in one way or another. As a child it was a hobby of my Mother's and she had set up a darkroom under our house where she would develop all her black and white photos. I have very fond memories of standing on a little stool making pictograms with her enlarger.
Struggling to figure out what I wanted to be "when I grew up" in high school I rediscovered photography through my film and t.v class and made my mind up. I studied it for 2 years then at high school, moving on to tafe for a year, then wound up at Griffith University studying a Bachelor of Visual Arts in photography. Most of the way through my degree, fate stepped in and I had a baby. My daughter took up most of my life until once again I found myself involved somewhat in photography, working in a photo lab. I then finally bought myself a DSLR and am hoping to use this blog to get back the mojo. The manual for my camera is rather large, but the more I read, the more it's all coming back to me. 2011 sees me heading to France for 2 weeks and the best souvenirs I can bring home will be my photos. I hope that you'll check in from time to time to see how I'm going with this little project, I plan to blog daily......
